We actively encourages waste reduction. Olympia as a venue recycles or reuses 100% of waste generated at the venue.
Food waste is separately collected for conversion into bio-fuel and fertiliser; special bins can be provided for food events. Food waste must not be disposed of in the normal waste bins.
A charge will be made for the disposal of any ‘excessive’ items or materials left on site at the end of the event, e.g. stand fitting, carpet, carpet rolls, graphics, boxes of literature, signage.

WIFI

Free unsupported WIFI is available throughout the building
This network is a basic service, and should be used for light internet use only. Users can expect a maximum rate limited bandwidth of 512 kbps.
The free wifi service is NOT designed for business critical purposes and is not designed to be used on stands. Customers wishing to purchase an upgraded, supported wireless network that can be tailored to their specific event needs must speak directly with the IT team (details below) for practical advice and the most cost effective solution.
With any wireless service, there are potential wireless interference issues that should be considered that can affect the stability of a wireless connection. A cabled internet service is the only way to guarantee a stable, rate limited (minimum of 1 x mbps) connection.
Once users select this network, they will be taken through some required fields. Upon completion and the acceptance of T’s&C’s, they may access the internet – no password required.
This service is complimentary, and therefore not supported by the IT team. There will be a link to a troubleshooting page that users can access should they experience difficulty using the free wifi service.
Please note that it is essential that anyone who requires Wi-Fi as a necessity does not rely on the free service. Please order hardwired connection via the Internet Order Form.
